Tweet of the day from former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Pastor Reno Omokri has discredited the common saying that “Hard work pays.”
According to him, hard work makes you age before your time and if truly hard work pays, everyone would want to be a labourer – which means they are the guys that truly work hard. According to the politician/clergyman, it’s only smart work that pays. While some of his followers agreed with him, others didn’t. Read sub-tweets below:
We teach hard work to our children so that proper values can be learnt at young age. It is from working hard that work becomes a norm leading to smarter work. Hard work is not only physical it can also be mental.

Your bank account doesn't understand your hardwork or hard labour. It only responds to your result.

I hope people don't misconstrue this statement. Hard work does pay sir, it's from working hard you become smart. Even to Yahoo isn't a softwork, alot of sleepless night is involved. Hardwork doesn't necessarily mean hard labour. Critical thinking is hard work as well..

Sir, I agree with u, but it also depends on our interpretation of smart work, some smart work could be misinterpreted as fraud work' though
